Web Analytics Manager

MediaTrust is looking for a strong business analyst to join the team! The Web Analytics Manager will be responsible for end to end oversight and management of the company's analytics function and drive metrics and insights that lead to continuous volume and margin improvement: gathering and documenting business requirements, working with business leaders to implement recommendations, testing, deploying and building out reports to guide the business. This critical role will be the primary analyst providing regular and ad-hoc analysis and regular reporting to decision makers and stakeholders for our non-email (content / display) traffic.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal teams to understand business priorities, and create and configure tools and reports to meet and report on those needs with data analysis and recommendations.
  • Assess current lay of the land with MediaTrust's analytics systems and processes and lay out short and long term recommendations in a roadmap.
  • Drive optimization roadmap and ongoing initiatives: define testing protocol (A/B, multi-variant, etc) including planning, set up, write test projections and forecasts, and measure performance to plan.
  • Monitor campaign performance and data to recognize trends, model data and forecasts and drive improvements in the campaign performance, and recommend expanded testing capabilities to better support our business objectives.
  • Identify KPIs within the organization and develop processes to collect and report on these metrics.
  • Establish success benchmarks for acquisition, lead generation, engagement, conversion, and traffic in general.
  • Generate and distribute weekly/monthly/custom traffic reports for each channel in a consistent and easily consumable format.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a web analytics role or related online marketing/analytics function.
  • Experience with web analytics tools, (Omniture Site Catalyst and Google Analytics strongly preferred) and an understanding of how to navigate and pull the appropriate reports and data.
  • Familiarity with other analytics packages in the market and ability to make recommendations and project manage as part of a roadmap.
  • Knowledge of Web behavior analysis to identify actionable insights from the data with the intent of increasing customer acquisition, lead generation, customer engagement, and general fulfillment of various other marketing objectives .
  • Understanding of Internet marketing and technologies, social media, mobile, promotion and e-commerce/lead generation.
  • Familiarity with other online data sources (e.g., DoubleClick DART, search technology tools, e-mail, competitive analysis tools like Comscore, Compete, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and across cross-functional areas of the company.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging start-up environment with dynamic needs and goals.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet skills.
  • 5 or more years experience in an analytics role with a proven track record of success.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
